Anodization

Anodizing is an electrolytic process that creates a protective oxide coating on metal, particularly aluminum. This improves the fingerprint and wear resistance and is a better alternative to paint, if color is required.

To achieve the quality and consistency of anodization required by our consumer electronic customers, Ostbahn setup a Japanese designed and managed production line in China. The line is automated and can accommodate a wide range of part sizes and color requirements.

Stamping and Punching

With 25 ~ 110 ton stamping machines, Ostbahn is able to produce high volume sheet metal parts. In-house tool and die fabrication allows rapid production turn around and quality control.

Initially used in fabricating faceplates and enclosures for consumer electronics, Ostbahn has used this manufacturing process in a wide range of products.

Finishing

Ostbahn offers a wide selection of finishes and textures for metal parts. We have experience in creating fine surface details, such as hairline, sandblasted, and polished. In addition, we can provide laser engraving. With machines and production areas dedicated to finishing metal, Ostbahn provides high quality finishes, which are typically required on consumer products.

CNC

Ostbahn's CNC machines (3-axis and 5-axis) have the capability to handle prototype and production level manufacturing volumes. Understanding equipment is only half the equation for quality production, we also make it a priority to train and retain a core of skilled operators.

Design Engineering Service

In addition to manufacturing services, the in-house design engineering team at Ostbahn can develop a customer concept through the stages of design and production.
